In my humble opinion the CP hh jag when in single coil mode, doesn't sound like a strat. It's got a sound of its own.

I was in two minds also. Though my other choise was the blacktop jag which have alnico pups fitted, as opposed to the jag special hh which have ceramics. I chose the later because of the features on it but I much prefered the sound of the blacktop.
