Yes it is the Classic Series '65, made in Japan.
I had 2 issues with the guitar which I have been working on in the mean time.
First I had an area on the pickguard (see pic) which caused an irritating scratchy ticking coming through the ...

One happy camper here, I like it a lot.

I love the aged look of this guitar, congratulations.

The cost to send it to me is not too bad but I fear the import taxes/levies will make this an expensive deal.

Where do you order those books?

I bought most of the Japanese books in Japan itself.
I will be there again next year March, and be sure I will have trouble with luggage space and weight.

I also buy them from Japanese suppliers via Ebay or I order them ...

Took some time to pass customs but it came in today.

It's a great book, part of a series, and there's a separate book for Jaguar & Jazzmasters.

I got a couple of this series amongst them the rare no. 1 issue on Telecasters.
Pictures of that book are in the book section of my site.
And I will post more pictures of the "Stang" book when it arrives on ...
