single/off/hum. tried the above diagram and didnt work with dimarzios. in the left position, both coils were active but real quiet. in the right position it was super loud. off position worked.

we are trying so we can split each pickup... so we can retain original single coil mustang tones (well, somewhat) and then be able to have the dual humbuckers for heavy stuff...

reworking my mustang for a dimarzio super distortion in bridge, and a tone zone in the neck. my question is:
does anyone know a way to use the three way selector as a coil split? is this possible?

I have two black ones, and the only way I would get rid of one of them is for a white one in a trade. Stock pick-ups were thin and crappy, much much better with dimarzio's. The necks are real sweet... I mostly play on the bridge pickup on everything else but on the supersonic I put it on the middle ...
