It sounds like you need more than just shielding.
However I actually have a spare CIJ shield plate that I don't need.

Cover shipping ($4?) and it's yours.

DGNR8- ordinarily i'd say keep your eyes peeled for a coronado XII neck but it seems like you have the chops to fix that one back up.

i'm pretty sure someone on here has a XII (prospect, i think?)- maybe he'd be willing to help out with tracings.

I use .12's with a wound 3rd.
I'll try moving the springs today.

move springs down.
then take cigar tube down as far as possible, but leave about 1 mm gap between string and bridge plate.
tune it up, stretch the strings, wham the hell out of the reverb handle, repeat this 2 more times and youre done.

I'm having a hell of a time setting up my CIJ Mustang trem ...

@taylornutt What James said. You could lightly sand down the clear coat and hopefully get to a point where the cracks weren't there. However you would risk sanding through into the color.
