Red and tort would be a massive mistake. It pretty much never looks good.

Sorry to say, but if you are going for the MBV type of reverse sound, nothing really will get it besides the Yamaha SPX90. Believe me, I have tried units by Alesis and most of the pedals with "reverse" settings, but nothing will get that sort of liquid tone. Of course, if you don't care or know ...

I bought one of they SPX90's the other day not had time to fully mess about with it but it's pretty bloody noisy, I think my microverb 4 was better.

There is some SM57 discussion in here so I may aswell say here...So I bought an SM57, never used one before, came today along with a female XLR to 1/4 cable, plugged it in, no sound (well I can tap it & hear it slightly but if I turn my amp really loud absolutely no sound at all. Help!
