Re: Rascal Bass

These are so cool. I’ve played 2 in-shop and quite like them. The original Fender Rascals really call to me with the lipstick pickups, but these Squiers with the buckers really growl

Re: squier Starcaster(semi hollow)

Oof, yeah, I've definitely seen cheap Tune-o-Matic type bridges made of cheap materials (or perhaps improperly cooled while molding, affecting the crystal structure?) sag after being under tension for a while (an old blog from 2011 I just found detailing a "fix" http://sfguitarworks.com/tune-o-matic ...

Re: squier Starcaster(semi hollow)

Great to know on the Guyker; I've been considering a similar unit for my Firebird, but a more expensive Duesenburg Les Trem II, then saw the Guykers and was having the will this do?? thoughts.

Re: NGD: Mosrite-like from Amazon

Huh, super interesting build decisions in this thing.
Those chromed P90s would look kinda sick, too bad they're not noiseless.

Basically.
I think they have 250k pots, but still are Jag-adjacent from the demos I've heard

Re: SUNN BETA MINI OHH MY FUCKIN GODDDDD

I could hang with that. Expensive but not crazy expensive.

Looks like it's $850Cdn... which isn't too bad. Given say an Orange Bass Terror is $1300, or OB1-300 is $1150, and about the same price as a Gain Baby or Dual Baby (which are 100W, not 200W) it's kind of mid to low priced compared to ...

Re: Hand exercises etc?

Yeah, for me it's largely relaxing my grip, switching between longscale bass, shortscale bass, and various guitar scales. I can play for hours in practice, but get on stage and a lot of that relaxed hold goes out the window; I'm squeezing the pick, I'm mashing the strings into the fingerboard ...
