its not a 74, the neck would be earlier than that. and its a refin. would love a maple cap neck like that for real though.

550 euro is a lot, get it if you like it for sure, i would personally pass on it. but it is cool.

pretty much any swinger is rare given that only 3 hundry of them were made. still its a guitar that just cause its rare don't mean its worth 5K +

cause they mark the transition from the good mustangs to the lousy post 1974 mustangs.

The pearloid pickguards from this era are teh bomb, they look great. however the sunburst models and some rare comps start to get the plain white pickguards during this period.

pretty much the zenith of cool right there. like basically any other photo of those guys from 1956 to 1970.

Mustangs from 1970-1973 are sweet guitars. This is the non matching headstock era. Things to remember about this era:


Never, ever go beyond a 1973 neck date or code
You can get comp red, orange, blue or ...

personally, am not a fan of the early headstock shape on these mustangs or stripped finishes, so I wouldn't do more than a few hundred bucks.

you could probably go to 5 hundry if you really wanted it. save up a bit more cash and go for one with the original finish thats a late 65 or 66.

looks legit. a late 64/early 65 with the finish stripped off and restained like furniture probably.

wish they did F tuners on that model. but a nice guitar, very jelly.

Fender Mustang Story knows for a fact that there are mid to late 60's mustangs, non competition (ie Dakota Red, Olympic White & Daphne Blue) with body contours.

Squiers are great guitars, well built and a very cheap price point.

my main beef is that they are so good, why not just put a fender decal on them.
