Re: Behringer JN-80
I have a JU-06 too and yeah, the 4 note polyphony is a drag. Would be interested in a bunch of Behringer synths but especially this one unless they ever come out with their VCS3 (which I'm thinking isn't coming now).

Re: Dual Expression Pedal
When I got that new wah pedal awhile back I didn't even bother putting it on my pedalboard, it's just off to the side. Seemed too much of a hassle to figure out a way to fix it to the board, as well as disassembling the board (for the second time in a month since I'd been hunting down a weird noise ...

Re: DOD the Badder Monkey
The original english translation of Planet of the Apes (the book, La Planète des singes) in the UK was "Monkey Planet" until after the film came out, because there is no French word for ape.

Looks like a cheeky Fender Custom Shop decal on the back of the headstock, not a Classic Vibe one which looks like this

Re: Strangz (strings for the g'itar)
I always try to use D’Addario strings because I use the Player’s points program to order more. I do have a lot of Gretsch Chet Atkins strings though, with a choice of plain or wound G strings. Can’t remember how I came into so many of those but I have sets for all my guitars on standby.

Re: Replacement Nut for MIJ Jazzmaster
The bottom should indeed be curved, as the channel in the fingerboard still has a radius of 7.25”.
At least that’s the way it’s been on all the Fender and AllParts Fender-licensed necks I’ve put a new nut in. Just be thankful it’s not a Jaguar, those can be annoying to replace. Just check the width ...

Anderton’s did a shoot-out of all the Klon clones they had and found that they all pretty much sound similar.NickS wrote: Tue Feb 14, 2023 5:21 pm It costs a little more over here, but there are alternatives.I'd like to see someone do a shoot-out video...► Show Spoiler

That’s pretty sweet. The blocks and binding really set off the blackout with white Jag pickups look.

NPD: Dunlop Mick Ronson Cry Baby

Recreation of Mick’s late ‘60s Italian Jen-made Crybaby (3rd pic), and really does sound like it. Looks like I’ll largely be retiring my 30 year old Vox V487 (which this thing sounds nothing like and doesn’t have a 9V adapter socket).

I think they’ve renamed it the Dual-Phase now but changed nothing else about it. Likely the same route they’ll take with their Centaur pedal.Doog wrote: Sat Feb 04, 2023 4:46 pm I can't believe how far Behringer took cribbing the aesthetics of these Mu-Trons... actually, I guess I can

Re: 1959 Guyatone "Star" LG-60
Yeah, they put those on LP Juniors now too. I think I have one on my old Melody Maker but have an SG with the “SG Junior” compensated bridge, which is made for a wound G.

+1 looks like it, don’t know how I didn’t spot that. I have wound G sets but don’t like using a wound G on electrics.
