im not sure about the single coil one but on the single humbucker mine was routed for just the humbucker and it stops after that so adding pickups would require extra routing. but the humbucker area is like a kiddy pool if you will so you could put pretty much any pickup there with some slant

I would say go for it. To me that seems like a great price. The absolute cheapest ive seen used would be 250 in recent days. I'm a fan of drone, and once played for a 1 gig 1 time load blower drone duo on bass. what i found worked best was (it was kind of free form with loose riffs (like a lot of drone))

I would highly recommend it! The neck feels really nice to me. The SX orange neck actually looks good in my opinion, but its easy to take off. The biggest issues are the nut and the tuners (but mainly the nut). The tuners are a little iffy when tuning but keep tune pretty decently, but the nut looks ...
