A really sweet combo of features, it should really rock . Are you gonna string it with 11s? I use the D'Addario Jazz set on my 24 incher (EXL-1153D), a great feel/sound IMO

I would consider a mini humbucker, it has a smaller footprint on the smaller body and there are literally tons of good ones out there. I'd get a vintage wind, nothing too hot. It's funny how the various copies are a legit part of the story of this guitar because nobody has ever seen an original. I really like the design of this guitar and I think it lends itself to different headstock shapes.

FWIW, I would change as little as possible. Redo the finish on the body, the pickguard that came with it or your choice. I believe all of these bridges will work, and would contribute to a clean, mean look,
