Review?

I finally got to check out one of these today.

Slightly lighter than my CIJ ones. Decent action right off the rack. Certainly worth $500.

I dig it. 😀

They're good. Another overlooked Fender since it was made in China. Pine body is good with a thin finish, pickups are meh but for the price new are good. The bridge is ok but if you get a shoddy one you buy a new one on Stewart Mac for $20 and you're good.

Some great pickups for strats? Mustang and nocaster pickups. I also have a soft spot for Duncan Quarter Pounders .

Very underestimated guitar.

Before buying my RS820 I was about to pull the trigger on a SG1000. Straight Les Paul killers.


The SGs are making a comeback.

Anyone experience how Gibson's Firebird HP balances compared to their Firebird T model? I have a 2016 T and she balances perfectly, but I'm curious how moving the strap position may affect balance. I had always heard or read that Firebird's were neck heavy and prone to diving, but my experience ...

I'm assuming they had to cheapen the Jag out a little so it wouldn't be as good as a Johnny Marr...

I guess my thought is that if I try the original pickups they won't be quite as hot as the lace sensors, but at the same time they'll be less sterile. Maybe I'll see if I enjoy them (I've never rewired a guitar so this would be a bit of a learning process for me) and if I find they're too neutral ...

I had Lace sensors in my MG73... Meh.. Many like them but I however didn't.

A cool alternative to give your Mustang a special kind of OOMPH that I experimented with is Duncan Quarter Pounders for Jaguar. You can even fit the pickup cover over them to keep an original look..

Another $75 you can buy a whole guitar if you shop around.....

Fender was using g their noggin when they decided to come out with these. They clicked a lot ...

Haven't had enough time for a review yet but of what I noodled it by far plays better than any Les Paul I've ever set my fingers on. It's the RS820cr model. I wish I could find a RSP20cr but they're like my unicorn right now. Too new to the market.

The Duo Sonic is not what you're looking for. If you want Les Paul sound you want a Les Paul esk guitar . Kinda.

Looking for an upgrade multi effects from my Digitech rp500 . I don't have the space to make a pedal board. So to the point what's the best multi effects board out there?

I've been looking at the Line 6 M13, Digitech rp1000 and Zoom 5n but if there is better that I'm overlooking I'll consider it ...

Poplar body..... It's a cool idea but calling it even an Epiphone is insulting. Gibson are supposed to be mahogany in my opinion.
