what kind of sound are you after? Brutal metal? Jazz?

More of a bluesy sort of crunch if you know what I mean.... I can only really compare the sound I'm after to a sort of Lou Reed meets Rolling Stones ...

A know a guy who put one on an Ibanez hollow body (not the same guitar I know) but he said it didn't keep in tune very well when after he attached the bigsby..... I don't know if this would be a factor. I have always liked them though, a bigsby is the sole purpose I wanted a Gretsch Electromatic.

I've been looking at AC30's but their are so many variations. It's pretty confusing to choose a good one. Plus the prices seem to vary. Quite drastically too!

Yeah just a normal guita cable. I've used the pedal lead through my guitar when my original guitar cable broke.

Beefheart was brilliant. Musically amazing! Lyrically hilariously elegant. Trout Mask Replica is a perfect example of this! Song's wise, Making love to a vampire with a monkey on my knee really tells you everything you need to know! Captain beefheart and His Magic Band nothing short of brilliant.

I've also been looking at an MXR DynaComp, and an MXR Mini amp. Dyna Comps are great pedals.
