I've just order a Korg Exp-2 as it seems to be the recommended model.

So based on the Xmas gifts thread, seems like both brandonwinmill and myself are in the market for expression pedals to go with our Christmas pedals; EHX Ravish Sitar in his case; Vox Delaylab in mine.


So basically the question is what the is story with these things? I've never even had a wah ...

I'm also in the market for a volume/expression pedal..


I probably am too for the above mentioned delaylab, what is the story on these things, are expression pedals pretty much compatible with everything thing or do you have to have the 'right' one? And how do you choose the best one? I'm pretty ...

Vox Delaylab for me, from my brothers and mum. I can't really work it yet but I've found a couple of setting where I can make my one guitar sound huge, which is pretty good as a two piece is all I can really muster these days.

Recently clarified in my own mind dl4 vs, delaylab vs, flashback 4X... For my main board the Vox is way out in from and I'll grab it as a self Xmas treat if I don't over spend of gifts and food like most years.

Lots of people dig TC sounds but that tone print just smacks of 'you're never getting ...

Pretty slick. I'm putting together a little indoor pedal board so I don't have to keep pulling pedals of my main board/ bringing the big old thing into the living room. This might be a good option as my 'house amp' a vox AC4 is reverb and trem-less.

in a related note, I once spent about £8 (including postage) on a CA3080 chip for a Ross Compressor project. Which is probably the most I've ever spent on a single component

The chassis is the metal bit the electrics live in. It's the cabinet you re-tolex.

What I'd do is just whip the chassis out and put it to one side without messing with the caps. Then ...

I like black headstocks and I don't particularly care about logos, so that is a pretty easy job. Take the neck off, cover up with tape and newspaper everything you are not painting rough up the finish with stand paper, paint then a couple of layers of clear coat giving it plenty of time to dry ...

There are a lot of factors that play into this that the type of wood can make a difference, but that's assuming that all other bits are equal. A lot of it is the fit of the neck pocket and bridge type.

I've said it before but I really just don't buy that wood can make any kind of a difference to an electric guitar with normal pickups. The sound is simply a product of the magnetised strings disturbing the magnetic field of the pickups. The wood doesn't play any part in that story, you're not ...
