@Mages - yes, it is indeed that crazy unicorn - a true 1969 vintage lefty Mustang Bass. It still blows my mind that after searching almost a year it was only 10 minutes from where I live! All stored away since 1974! Nuts!

some peeps call the LPB ones burgandy because of the old colour chart typo thing, and others refer to the purply-edged ones as burgandy...

its probably really weird to say this, but the main reason i dislike maple is because I feel like it looks cheaper. For some reason, since there is no added fretboard it just seems skimped on, even if that isn't really the case.

also I had a tele that was maple, and it always seemed more sticky ...
