Recent Solo Set I Did

There's a little bit of a noise/experimental scene starting to take shape in Exeter. I played a quick set as part of an all dayer type thing where we took over the upstairs of a local craft beer bar. Good times. Looking like it might become a monthly thing.

Anyway, here it is:

Behringer BCR32 (BCR2000 Reissue)

This has been mooted for aaaaaages, but it looks like it's finally going to happen. $164/£142/€169 is a steal. I assumed the price would have been updated too.

Re: Chat Pile Rig Rundown

Ah, Toast of London is rewatched every six months or so our house.

I can sympathise with a character who reckons he probably should have been owed a living as a performer/artist but who grows resentful and frustrated seeing opportunities go elsewhere due to a lack of social abilities and hubris ...

Not sure I've seen the film, but I seem to think I'm familiar with it. Maybe I have.

It doesn't have Matt Berry in it.

I love it when you see a new thread in here, then see that it's a repair thread, then see that NickS was author.

Gorgeous!

But when I read a post saying "Finally found The One" or similar I always think "haha, have you fuck, we'll see you back here with a new guitar soon."

Re: 2026 Squier Paranormal range features HURBS FUCKIN GUITAR!!!!!

Yeah, I think the classification makes sense somehow. Toronados are somehow shortscales. Les Pauls somehow are not. SGs maybe straddle the line, somehow.

In any case, even if it is a slightly messy classification, we can shelve any firm decisions until the next time someone makes a post in one of ...

Re: 2026 Squier Paranormal range features HURBS FUCKIN GUITAR!!!!!

I would have said no, given that I don't think we treat Les Pauls as shortscales, but Toronados go here and they're 25.75."

Re: Noisy DOD pedal

Most of my cables are made from the cheapest/smallest pancake plugs along with decent cable. They aren't durable, but they aren't getting moved ever, so they don't need to be. If I was actually patching in/out of things, I wouldn't use them, but for plumbing in a pedalboard and leaving, then yeah ...

Re: p-90 stang, and a coffin

Haha, I have two of those!

I wanted four of them, but the seller only sent two, because that's all he had in stock. He said he'd get more, and after a month or so sent two other, different, fake bakelite (fakelite?) knobs in the meantime, with the promise of sending the ones I wanted when he ...

Yeah, the JVM's a bit special if Marshall dirt is your thing. Always loved them (one of the few amps I still long for).

Who did you take it to? I have no idea who I would go to for amp stuff around here. I've a pal who used to work in Mansons and I'd probably ask him, but he hasn't played in years ...

I've been a bit bummed out about not having a stereo looper. I have the Memory Man, which has a looper, but it's a little basic and I like having it earlier in the chain. The M13 has a 28 second looper, but it bounces everything to mono, which is a weird ...

Also, this item was listed as being basically new, opened, but never used.

It was missing the power supply and TRS cable. I'll make my own TRS cable, but am I wrong to be a bit irked by this?

NPD: 8 Step Program

Got this a few hours ago, still working things out, but it's currently plugged into the M13. Loving it so far. Annoyingly, I keep accidentally changing the depth parameter, which seems to wipe the max/min settings on the M13. Still haven't sussed the expression thru function yet, not sure if that's ...

Noooo, just a power switch and an unnecessary and separate killswitch.
