the squier j mascis I played for a couple hours had one... and the jazzy build I'm about to finish has one. So in the 3 hours I've spent with one of these trems, they were perfectly fine. I may modify the one I have and put a locking mechanism of some sort on it at some point

I've got an SG with a P90 in the bridge that I beat when I play... crazy Pete Townshendy type stuff, minus the smashing bit. My other guitar is an old Kay, Truetone branded (26" scale), speed demon that doesn't have much in the way of frets anymore, I usually play that through some kind of nasty 60s ...

I played one of these at my local music store for an hour or so the other day through a hotrod deluxe 3.... it was delightful.
