Love the Pillows. I've listened to everything up they released up to about 2000 (so basically everything FLCL) and it's all pretty great, though their earlier stuff is a bit weird and not at all what they're kinda known for.

Yeah, I would've gone with the blue one but it's hardtail and I really wanted a vibrato. I guess you could stick a Bigsby or a Duesenberg trem on it pretty easily though.

No dots is more metal. Either that or you gotta have some fancy flower inlays or something stupid.

On topic though, not the biggest fan of the all white look you've gone for (the amber tip is pretty hilarious though), but these new squiers look fucking killer and I'd buy like 3 and mod the shit out ...

I think these are great from a configuration point of view.

That routing and sanding isn't far off from some Mexican Fenders I've seen, to be honest. And the wiring is tidier. Many more expensive guitars come off the shelf with no (or substandard) shielding anyway. It's fun to get the copper tape ...

Nothing super exciting, but the roller bridge finally arrived a couple of days ago so I stuck it on along with some 12's which feel a bit nicer than the 11's which were just slightly too floppy for me.

This is pretty fucking cool. I got a Harley Benton stang recently and I'm going to replace the pickguard and get a control plate like you've got on yours (plus the usual pickup replacements and what not). Didn't realise there was a copy identical to the Harley Benton but with the more mustang ...

Yeah, these are 24" scale length according to the specs so a jag/mustang neck should probably fit. I think the headstock looks pretty decent as far as knock offs go, but if ever get my hands on a jag/mustang neck I'll try sticking it on for sure.

Why don't you just buy the new squier bullet mustang? It's cheaper and already has humbuckers. Unless you want trad. mustang look/layout controls, then I guess it can't be helped.
