It seems everyone who has one doesn't seem to keep one for long. Although now that I think about it, I'd kind of like it to use it to try to eliminate ground hum in my PA, away from my guitar rig.

this effects a lot more than compressors.

You know how many different pedals use LDRs?

Any pedal with any kind of modulation- whether envelope, triggered, sequenced, whatever can have LDRs. Some wahs and volume pedals (Morley, DOD) use LDRs.


Somehow I think it probably doesn't matter though ...

Voodoo labs PP2+ is the best

Clips don't do the tone wicker justice. The Tone Factor ones are pretty blah.
In person it's mean, ugly, nasty, noisy, and really versatile. It's not superfuzz noisy, but it does bring the punk and garage.

They were initially overpriced, but now they're 90 bucks, which I think isn't too bad for ...

Not me, I think the company however from a focus and product standpoint is firing on all pistons. They really seem to be listening to what people on the net are saying. I personally like fuzz pedals ...

the modulation mode self oscillates a little bit

also the echo mode will self oscillate a little if you have it set really short
