I think it's worth it to get a new body. My suggestion is to use a reputable custom builder and have them pick out a super light-weight body. I've used USACG in the past and I can assure you they are great. Then you could flip your current body to help recoup some of the cost.

I am pretty sure this is going to be fully hollow, otherwise they would just make a 339 with P90s (Epiphone already released their version of the Gibson model).

What this really seems to be is the Epiphone equivalent of the Gibson 390 (which is a shrunken Gibson ES-330/Epiphone Casino).

I actually love both pedals, at least when used in the correct circumstances.

TS-9 + Single Coil + Fender-style amp = nice lead tone that cuts through a band mix without being too loud
TS-9 + Humbucker + Marshall = 'tighter' sound for 'heavier' sounding music, again useful as a lead boost

Yep, closed back. Oranges are pretty unusual amps, especially for me coming from usually playing a Fender Twin. My tastes have changed and I like playing with some grit to my mostly clean tone.

Although the strat jack is aesthetically displeasing, it is a better design than the straight-in jack on real jazzmasters. Iirc, fender's original design for the jazzmaster actually had a strat jack plate.

Depends on the band. It definitely won't have enough clean headroom, but for a typical alternative rock band it can hold its own. You will probably need some external speakers for a louder band.

I reiterate again that 5W is only indicative of its clean headroom. It gets mega loud on its own, and has an external speaker out. 5W in this case is actually a blessing imo, because you can roll up into that sweet Marshall goodness far earlier than something with higher wattage.

Yeah, make sure you get the revised version that fixed the rattle issue. Apparently this was a big problem with the original issue, but they've apparently since fixed that up.
