I think it's worth it to get a new body. My suggestion is to use a reputable custom builder and have them pick out a super light-weight body. I've used USACG in the past and I can assure you they are great. Then you could flip your current body to help recoup some of the cost.

That said, could you not just stipulate they need to track all the guitars in one session? Or leave the amp and mic set-up until the next session? Or just take a few decent photos of the mic and amp positions, maybe even pedal and amp settings if you're that worried?

I reiterate again that 5W is only indicative of its clean headroom. It gets mega loud on its own, and has an external speaker out. 5W in this case is actually a blessing imo, because you can roll up into that sweet Marshall goodness far earlier than something with higher wattage.
