A fun one that i do is Open D add9 (i THINK). Its basically Drop D, then take the G down a half step to F# and the B down a step to A... So its D-A-D-F#-A-E..... Super fun. You can do a lot of chords and different things while letting the two high strings ring out. I do it on my Duostang with 10-46 ...

Nothing bad, but a few thoughts:

Still need to cut the nut slots a little deeper; in conjunction with the taller frets, it can all feel a lil' less "smooth"

Would probably prefer a less overwound bridge pickup as it's less sparkly and more ...

Many people would agree that coil splitting is a compromise. You'll never get a "true" single coil sound from splitting a humbucker.

Personally, I think the Mascis is a better guitar for the money.
