Fred was all about Rickenbackers and Crestwoods. It was always more about clang than super-gainy pups.

New Bass Day: picked up a Vintage EJM96 off Gumtree yesterday in as new condition. This is a very good Jazz copy - tort on sunburst i.e. classic look - build quality and finish excellent, plays just lovely (very nice neck) and it's got those proper Jazz tones all over.

That was Merchant City @ 299. According to the site, they've gone back to preorder, which may mean no stock or low stock. Dunno about the other Glesky shops.

Yeah, I mean to check out that neck routing at some point. No plans to do anything like that to it - I wouldn't change a thing right now - but it's good to have the readymade option.
