Anyone have any opinions of the Lil' Puncher Cool Vintage set?

They've got some interesting color options, and they seem like great guitars for the money...but I don't think I could bring myself to playing a knockoff. But who knows, maybe they play/sound just as well as some of the Squier/low-end Fender stuff.

I think with some upgrading, both lines can make a great guitar. I own an Epi G-400 and I love it to death, I've kept it stock and I've had quite a few people comment on how awesome it sounds...they are great buys for the money. I also have an Epi Les Paul Classic, and although I am selling it soon ...

How close are the "Cool Vintage" pickups tonewise to a Joe Barden Danny Gatton tele set?

BlackHeart IS in fact a Crate subsidiary. I guess Crate products leave a bad taste in alot of people's mouth, so they've shrouded these things in emo, built a website that bleeds indy/startup/boutique cred and present the crate logo like fine print on a bad cellphone contract.

The single 12 is the only thing I'm concerned about....I'm just not sure it's enough speaker.

The thing I've learned about 12" speakers, is that while it may not be as full as a 2-12", it really does cut through like a laser. It's incredible.

Deluxe Reverbs have been known to cut through the mix ...

I've always preferred Jazzmasters over Jaguars, but that candy apple Jaguar is bad ass.

I have one of these and it's pretty decent, though it doesn't get much play now I can play my valve amp at home. It can get petty loud as Chrismo said, and it pretty much stays clean too.

I think the spring reverb on it is quite nice too.

I actually own the 30R and use it in band practice all the time. For it's size/wattage it gets really damn loud, but you do have to crank it a bit in order for it to be loud; the volume, level and gain are usually set at 3 o'clock. I was really blown away by how powerful this is...I think you could ...

A MIM thinline for £350 is a pretty good deal as far as I'm concerned, but you guys get Fender shit way cheaper than we do.

Mickie, it was a limited run from 2002. They had a series of 5 colors for the '69 Thinline and the '72 Thinline.
