I believe that I once heard a story of someone here buying a set of short-scale bass strings with the fabric wraps on the end and them not being long enough, so beware. I personally use the D'addario's with a 105 on the E. I think that the extra girth makes up well for the tension that you lose on ...

Nay. I own one, and it's not very good. And I can't sell it, because it was a gift from my parents (who have specifically asked me never to sell it). Oh well, it looks nice, so it'll make a nice wall decoration when I get a home of my own.

For that kind of money, you're basically going to get what you pay for. They'll sound decent, but they certainly won't be reference-worthy. It looks like those're there to block the trem. If you tightened the two fulcrum screws down, the trem probably wouldn't move.

I like the way my Rhodes sounds through my 50 Watt Bassman. It gets plenty of headroom. When the folks at the Fender factory were building the pianos, they tested them through Twin Reverbs.

I read somewhere that US Presidents use SM57s.

I do audio for press conferences on a weekly basis, and I use an SM57 every time. It's a good sounding mic for picking up speaking vocals, and if you throw the matching windscreen on there, it looks sharp.

I bought a Hondo II "Professional Bass" for $75 a while ago. It's in great shape, and plays real well. I like it. The neck is glossy, the pup sounds good, everything about it is real solid. It could be easily passed off as a P-bass for 5 times the cost if the headstock was Fender.

It doesn't look like any packing material was used inside the case to immobilize the guitar. Thus the guitar shifted around and broke through the case. The case is too long for the guitar which doesn't help either.

A guitar needs to be packed to mimic a "form-fit case" with packing material ...
