I am not really looking for super low METAL!!!! action. I just don't want the strings to be a mile above the fretboard. Anything lower than an acoustic height is good with me.

I am not really sure where to put this but since it in relation to a strat i am thinking of buying i thought i would put it here.
Is there a huge difference between a 7.25" and a 9.5" fretboard radius?
I have been told that 7.25" is rounder and therefore the action is higher which i am not too crazy ...

I played a few Tokai LP models in a shop there a while back and i think they compare rather well with the epiphones, if not better than them and are cheaper as well so you might want to check them out before you make up your mind.

You can change out the speaker or even the tubes fairly easily to make it break up early. Here is a speaker on ebay ( LOINK ) that breaks up early apparently. There are other versions that break up later or around the middle as well.
