New Vinyl release of an old album
35 years ago our first album was released on a local label.
The label, Carpe Diem has recently rebooted and started re-releasing their catalog on vinyl.
Here’s the website http://carpediem.works/product/course-of-empire/
It’s admittedly pricey but it’s limited to 300 copies.
Just wanted to share.

This is ace! Nice one Paul. Assuming it hasn't yet sold out by the end of the month I think this will be a payday treat for me.

Re: New Vinyl release of an old album
We taped a discussion last night with Mike the guitarist, Alan the label guy, and me. It was a lot of fun including some b- roll footage of me and Mike trying to remember how to play songs we hadn’t played in 25-30 years.
The record itself was super ambitious with our producer David Castell http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Castell
really coming up with ways to build a cinematic soundscape around the songs. This was all done pre-digital on 16 track tape.

Another up-and-coming shortscaler's band, eh?
I had a weird encounter a few weeks back when I was doomscrolling Facebook, and in between pictures of a scantily clad Dua Lipa and old race car engines (I have no idea why Facebook thinks this is what I'm into. They used to be SOO GOOD at pinpointing a person's interests) I got the odd picture of grunge legends. One picture was a couple of people I recognised (making up names here, but let's say Stone Gossard and Dave Grohl) and one I didn't. I googled his name and found out he was one of Course of Empire, which I thought was cool. Can't remember who, now.
Someone bump this towards the end of the month. I also need to wait to payday and hope that this month hasn't taken too much out of next month's finances already.

Re: New Vinyl release of an old album
Dave Abbruzzese Formally of Pearl Jam. He plays on one track of the album (God’s Jig). One of our drummers quit for a few months and Dave subbed in. When the drummer that had quit saw someone nailing all his drum parts he decided he wanted back in. We let Dave go and shortly afterwards he was in Pearl Jam.
Poor guy…
Poor guy…

But then he got kicked out of Pear Jam for being a dick, so it all worked out.
