I don't think so. Fender USA hasn't made a mustang in almost 30 years and the Mexican plant (the classic players are MIM) has never made one. So unless Fender Japan does something along those lines, I don't see it happening.

It would be cool if Hagstrom reissued the I, II, and III the way they looked when they came out.

I would love it if they reissued a bronco. A simple, 1 pickup guitar would hopefully keep the cost down a bit. Under the pickguard i would have it routed for 2 pickups so it would be perfect, good quality guitar for people to build on and mod themselves. Also a wider range of colours would be cool.

The mexican plant made Jags and Jazzmasters before the CPs?

If they do make a CP mustang, I hope they don't ruin it by putting a tunomatic on it.

I don't see why they didn't just put a Mustang bridge on the CP Jags/Jazzies. Yeah the radius is different, but they could have made the mustang saddles height adjustable. They fixed a problem that didn't exist.

Too many non-standard parts= too much retooling for a guitar that can still be had at $200-$400 for a vintage example.
