Brilliant. The white pickups and pickguard bring out the best in the CAR finish. Well done.
Don't listen to youtube naysayers, there's always some nobber who will sit there typing crap comments with greasy fingers while doing NOTHING themselves to be creative in any way, shape or form.
Some people would sooner step on their mother's face than appear "typical" by using a certain type of vibrato tailpiece on their guitar, what is so hard to understand about that?
Dudes come on, babes might see it.

Thanks for the support, Mike and Stewart. Since I am new to ShortScale, that means a lot. I need to post pics of gear on the other thread soon too.
Here is a pic of the Lindy Fralin Jazzmaster Texas Special Pups from my Jaz-g-master (neck= 8400, bridge=9400)
ordered today:
F Tuners
F Neck plate and screws
2 roller knobs Total Cost thus far - $208 Body - $60
Mustang Bridge - $30
'62 RI Trem Plate - $45
Fender '70's F Tuners, One Set - $39.98
Fender Four Bolt "F" Neck Plate - $12.98
Jazzmaster/Jaguar Control Roller Knob for Mini Pots, Set of Two - $20.49
cost of the mini pots sucks DDDDDDD but i didn't find them anywhere else for cheaper, plus if i did find them for $5 cheaper shipping would cancel that out
So i've realized that i have no screws for parts. I've got the pickguard screws sorted out and pickup screws aswell. What i don't have is screws for the tremolo plate.
QUESTION: Would one of these work for a jag/jm trem assembly? i'm thinking the 6 set would work...

That's exactly what I'm using for my Jazzmaster build. They work perfectly.
Since i have been waiting two weeks for a pickguard, i decided to shoot an email to the kind gentleman who i had dealt with. He said he totally spaced and forgot to place my order [?] and he would make sure it gets ordered when they make their next shipment [every sunday]
He also offered me these two options to make up for the delay.
1. Give you a full and immediate refund - - - and a 40% discount on any future order of any parts from www.allparts.com (can’t do 40% off on WD orders but I’ll do the best I can - - usually 30-35% on most items). Applies to any order large or small.
2. Give you the pickguard for dealer cost - - - and the 40% discount. You’d get about a $10-12 rebate on the price you paid for the pickguard.
SO, i obviously want the pickguard, so option one is out.
Josh wrote:god haze, only 208 bucks so far for that jazzmaster.
you're tempting me to dare to attempt to build a jazzmaster.
no, i haven't updated the price list. i've recently added pickups and a pickguard and maybe some other misc parts.
final cost will probably be around 6 hundred.
2x Jazzmaster Decals - $20
70s F Tuners - $40
B&D Neck - $136
Body - $60
F Neck Plate - $13
Roller Knobs - $20
MIJ Trem Unit - $45
RI Mustang Bridge - $30
AVRI Pickup Set - $90
Pickguard - $22
Wiring Setuo [includes all pots, switches, caps and cloth wire] - $75
Misc. Screws - $6
Slotted Bone Nut - $4
Strap Buttons - $2
Shielding Tape - $14
Trem Arm - $5
My father is covering paint. Still to get is a clear/tint for the neck since its unfinished.
I'm sure lots of people will say its expensive for a project but who eh, who cares! I got a great deal on the allparts.com stuff [dealer cost] so that helps. Still don't have a bracket for the mini pots so i'm going to try and make one myself from dimensions/what will fit my guard/body when it returns.
