Normally not a fan of sunburst, but that looks lovely.lorez wrote:the camera has finally been fixed so to try it out I took some snaps of the Jazzmaster

there are a few bits of wear and tear but nothing major and all adds to the character. I think if it was spotless I would be afraid to play it but that would be a shame really.Fran wrote:Looks almost spotless

Some pics of the '97 Casino. The switch had to be replaced and the only switch my guitar tech had in at the time was a Gibson switch with a black tip. A switch with a cream tip is on the way and we'll just swap out tips when it arrives. The tuners are new as is the Nashville bridge (like I know what I'm talking about or something):

for your keepers those are 3 very nice guitars. I guess you have a reason behind why each is a keeper and that would be good to know. I like the flame on the LP though

Ok, 1st the Rickenbacker 350 is a variation of the guitar that I have wanted since I was 10. That was my dream guitar "a 3/4" Rickenbacker. This one has the 3/4 body but with a full scale neck with 24 frets. The vintage white color is just the icing on that cake.lorez wrote:for your keepers those are 3 very nice guitars. The Les Paul '59 is just the best Les Paul that I have owned and the double stain AAAAA flame top is just stunning(I think). It was made in 1996 which was the Golden Age for the Gibson Custom Shop. I love this guitar and I pretty much play this guitar the most.

But the Rickenbaker 330 is really the cherry on top. I only found this guitar because I had to go to Florida to see my parents. While I was there I saw this Sparkle Red Rickenbacker at Guitar Center in West Palm Beach. I didn't know what it was until a few weeks later.I found out that it had was refinshed by Mark Johnson(Owner of MJ Guitars). He is like "the Paul Reed Smith of Montana" Anyway,it is just such a beautiful and unique piece I had to have it. I mean,I have wanted a 330 since I saw The Jam in '78. I've had a few but this is the best one and the finish is just out of this world.

Not a 350 exactly, they didn't make them yet. I wanted a "3/4" Rickenbacker like John Lennon had. Of course I know now that guitar is a 325 but back then all I knew was that it was a "3/4" Rickenbacker.lorez wrote:i understand the love for the 330 but I'm also in agreement with you on that flame top on the LP
But what made you want the 350 at the age of 10?

Six years ago when my guitar obsession started one of the first guitars I bought was 325c58.

Later I had a 325v63

a 320 and 325c64

But I decided I couldn't make a shortscale Rickenbacker my main guitar so I tried a 350v63. It has the 3/4 body with a full scale neck

Still that one wasn't right It wasn't until I found the 350 Liverpool that I realized I had found the perfect "3/4 Rickenbacker (for me) because this guitar has the 3/4 body with a longer neck but it has the same pickup spacing as the 325.

The other thing cool about this 350 is the color. It's the only white one that I have seen besides Susanna Hoffs.

Peavey T-60, Yamaha RBX 360, and Ibanez AG-75

My First guitar. Had it since 1996. Dont know much about it except that the headstock has Heit Deluxe written on it.

First guitar I ever bought with my own money. 1996 MIM Fender Stratocaster. In 1999 I replaced the pickups with a Blue lace sensor in the neck and 2 red lace sensors in middle and bridge.

2000 Gibson Les Paul Standard. Honeyburst with 490/498 pickups. Believe its weight relieved.

First Acoustic guitar I bought. 2000 Fender DG-16. For some reason I really liked the cross inlays at the time.

Ovation Celebrity. This guitar gets some hate around here but I really dig the neck on this guitar.

Fender Blacktop Jaguar. I love this guitar. Only guitar I own where I can play police riffs without screwing them up. The neck has almost the same feel as my strat. Might change the pickups though.

Ill do my best to describe the sounds based on how I use the pickups. Much of the sounds have as much to do with the pickups as well as their relative position to the strings.BillClay wrote:Dood, what does it sound like when the two reds are both on!? This is need-to-know, life-or-death shit!chemistforhire wrote: I replaced the pickups with a Blue lace sensor in the neck and 2 red lace sensors in middle and bridge.
For Cleans I like to use the Neck Blue and Middle Red.
For a brighter/twangier (not very twangy but as twangy as sensors get) sound I use just the Blue.
For a warmer clean I stick to the blue/red combo.
For overdriven/distortion I use Middle Red and Bridge Red.
Middle red for fuzzy type distortion that has a bass boost. Hardly ever use this.
Red/Red for nice overdriven tone which has a mid boost. This is where I live if I am playing overdriven rhythm parts.
Bridge Red for a crunchier distortion. Seems like the trebliest of the pickups. I only use this for playing lead parts cause it feels like you get a slight volume boost as well.
When I play I have one overdrive setting and switch between the overdrive sound I want just by switching pickups and nothing else. Hope this helps.
