Wow. Is that the jaguar neck which has the veneer fretboard?

Beats me. It was the only jaguar neck that allparts carry.
The body is en route from robert. Cool cool cool

Do you suppose Robert would do another body? I have a jagmaster body lying about that could be used for a project, but lack proper skills to do filling/routing/etc.

Beats me, you'll have to take that up with robert. From my understanding he's been busy with his move to aen-land, NAMM and Dwarfcraft.

So the body came in from robert today. Looks like its just going to need a new body, this one just has too many things that aren't lining up right.
here is why:
► Show Spoiler
This is with the pickup routes lined up:
with the neck pocket lined up
neck in pocket

not quite snug
as far in as the neck goes, also pushes out the right side of the pocket
where the guard looks like it should be, pickup routes out of line but the neck pocket is lined up [if the neck would fit
i forget where these were lined up at
looks like an allparts body is my best bet. Not terribly happy about it but it'll have to do

you have to file down the neck pocket part of the pickguard. line everything else up where it goes and then file the neck pocket down until it lines up. pretty much every pickguard I've ever gotten I've had to do this before it would fit.
for the neck pocket in the body you should be able to work that down some way as well. if it's not snug you can always put a shim in there.

had another look at the body with my dad, who i am building the guitar with. it'll be some good work but we'll see if we can make this body work

what is that line in the neck pocket? is that as far as the neck goes? if the neck can bolt in there and you can push the pickguard up to that line it should work fine as long (as the bridge is in the right spot in correlation to that line in the pocket).

the neck pocket is back farther than normal to compensate for that overhang on the board remember?
but at anyrate, how the hell is it that i was able to put aneck on it, and everything was gravy, but all of the sudden its not gravy?
i remember putting the jazzy template on it with the neck on it and using string to line up the bridge and what not.
if it really doesn't line up, at all, and for some unholy reason it changed shape once it made it to your house, just burn the fucking thing and say a prayer to the jazzmaster gods.

Sorry if I come across unapreciative. I really do appreciate the time and hard work you put into it. If the neck is snug in the joint it looks likeit will be an exact 25.5 inches. The neck I am using is an allparts bound strat neck to vintage specs. It looks like some minor dremel tooling will get it to where it needs to be. And it certainly wouldn't be possible if robert didn't do all of the hard work.
So, again, I would like to thank you for making this project work and be fun work to do with my father. Havent had much quality time to spend with him so this has been agreat opportunity
