thanks a lot. Luckily it still had the original finish, or else it would have looked a lot worse

Changed the Peavey around today.
Before
After
It was just a pickguard swap basically. The old one is intact in the unlikely event that this guitar will be collectible (they only made this particular model for one year).

Thats cool. Rock machine. I would like to do the opposite with my tom delonge strat but it would require routing for new pickups... cba

Fantastic collection, kapepepper!
I can imagine all necessary bases are covered, even without a solidbody in the lot.

They're often mentioned together but not many people seem to own both. How do they compare? I would guess they'd be fairly similar unplugged and the main difference would be in how they feel to the different neck profiles.

well, the coronado and viking are almost copies at first sight but they are two totally different animals
The viking is semi hollow (has a block under the bridge), is very light, pick ups are more responsive (stronger... hope you knwo what iw ant to say), neck is very thin (but also very fast)
But at the other hand: the coronado is beautifull crafted instrument (finish, neck bindings,...). in that way the hagstrom feels a bit cheaper. Coronado Pick Ups are relatively weak and the guitar is not as resonant as is the hagstrom...
so, in the end, it is difficult to say which I prefer, and I think I just have to keep both
