They are close if not identical.
I cant pick any faults on it to be honest. The only thing i have done is shim the neck to get the action lower.

Nice, I still can't get my head round how shimming works though. Think my CVs could do with it though bzzzzzzzz

Sweet. They're such awesome guitars eh, I love mine. Interestingly I didn't need to shim the neck on mine, I got enough out of lowering the bridge, and still no buzz.

I tried fully lowering the bridge but wanted that bit more (i am a closet Metal player ) Yeah, they are very nice mate.

George, it basically moves the heel closer to the strings and headstock the other way, i use a 0.5mm piece of card. From there on you can do further adjustments with the bridge height. Ive always done it on Fenders but it doesn't achieve much on some bolt-on guitars.

Looks sexy fran, really getting me wanting one even more. How you finding the neck compared to other squiers? It felt bigger to me, also the finish on it? I even like the pick guard as well and don't understand people swapping them out

It feels similar (although i've not tried many new Squiers) to me but i think the jumbo frets really do change the vibe. The neck finish is nice, like a satin vintage tint that i think will age nicely, it looks darker than usual and i tried to capture it on the pics.
I like the pickguard too, an aftermarket one would set you back a fair bit as well. Funny, i researched a bit today and folks are fitting new guards, pups, tremolo units etc. hilarious. There is nothing wrong with the guitar, i haven't even changed the strings yet.

Same as Fran, mine still has the same strings too. The action on mine is spot on, and I see no reason to change a thing at the moment, sespecially not the gold guard - I love 'em, and it's one of the reasons I wanted it.

Yes, the neck is a little bigger than current Squier fare and it is fairly tinted - pretty much the same colour as my 73 mustang neck.

I tend to use thin card to shim, and fold it if needed. I haven't needed to shim this yet.

That green guitar is sexy! (and a Dani Fab Tone was my first dirt pedal.) Still have it too.

I keep forgetting to post here, and then I remember and the uploader doesn't work, so I give up and then forget again. Anyway, here's the lot of them.

Clockwise from top: BC Rich Bronze Series Mockingbird, some Samick classical guitar I've had since middle school, some Samick bass I've had since high school, Squier Super-Sonic, Ovation Balladeer.

I got a chance to pickup and play all my electric guitars tonight. I almost can't believe how good all my guitars sound. I feel so blessed to actually have such a collection of great instruments.

The mounting's a little rough, and there are plenty of visible screw holes and such since I wasn't exactly doing the measure twice drill once thing, but when it's full of guitars, I don't expect people to notice.







p.s. That's not my Harmony. My bandmate gave me the Harmony and told me to "fix it," so I just put a Tune-O-Matic on it and I'm going to return it this weekend. That spot will normally be occupied by a Squier Vista Series Candy Apple Red Jagmaster but USPS hasn't delivered it yet.
