For $30 I picked up an ART Tube Preamp, it may not be a tube amp, but it gives me a warmer sound and a bit of tubey creamy goodness. Look at my pedalboard post, it's under my DOD chorus. I like it and for $30 you can't go wrong even if it doesn't suit ur needs.

I realized the tone loss not too long after turning it on. I realized that the higher you have the threshhold, the more tone lost. I just turn the decay knob down all the way, and that way i don't have to turn the threshhold up as high. I found a good medium between tone loss and hiss loss. I like it, plus i'm going to get the parallel DC cord so i can power pedals off of it.

I'm drilling the case for the Crunch Box which will replace the MXR this Wednesday, and also my Blackstone MOSFET Overdrive which has the trimpots externalised to give it controls for Pre-Gain, Post-Gain, Tone, Presence and Volume aswell as the Buffer/Reactive toggle.

Exactly like Lamp's, Knobs in a Triangle, in/out jacks on the sides near the top of the case. I'm building one like that for Markleton so I'm just doing one for myself alongside it.
Not sure about colour yet, might go with the black metallic.

Mike, what is that Marshall JCM800/Plexi pedal? A homebrew? Based on a pre-existing circuit? Looks velly cool, as do the rest of your pedals.

I ordered one last week following my OD thread and yours and Mike's recommendations. They were really quick to answer my emails and dead friendly. Hopefully it won't take too long.
