The Squier tele in this thread is much, much more appealing than the Fender. The only possible thing the Fender has over the Squier is the name on the headstock, if you're in to that sort of thing.

yeah that fugly and corrupted squier is 100% less fugly than that custom shop fugly wank machine.

The Squier is corrupted and fugly? GAASP.

You could always restore it to a more appealing state by sanding off the finish and hammering a coupleonails into it.

I had a thinline version of the Squier. It played well, but looked like the bastard son of a Tele and a Les Paul, both of which I love, but not merged.

ditto. I got one cheap maybe 4 years ago - kind of wish I hadn't decided to refinish it in gunmetal, then hated it so parted it out... would love to have it back to drop some gretsch pickups in it...
