Dava control picks, Black Dunlop Match Piks (I just never drop them) and, for those really special TGP moments, my Country Music Hall of Fame plectrum (but this necessitates me deactivating the alarm and unlocking the display cabinet).

I tried some of the Dava Control ones when staying with Dots. They seem too thin. Even held in a way to mak ethem feel thicker they're quite thin feeling. It seemed like they couldn't get up to the feel of 0.7mm yellow tortex.

That's odd - they feel pretty thick to me. It's important to note that my main qualification for a plectrum is that it's hard to drop.

I usually use the green or blue gator grip picks. If a pick is floppy i can hardly play with it.

I've always used the Dunlop 500 .96mm picks for electric and .5 for acoustic. I just like the different shades of pink I guess

It's important to note that my main qualification for a plectrum is that it's hard to drop.

stick a square of double sided tape on it and you'll be dandy. trouble is it goes manky and leaves black marks on your fingers, but that's a small price to pay for perma-grip-ness.

the day i forget to take my trusty roll of tape to a gig is the day i'll suffer my first nervous breakdown, as i scrabble around the stage in the dark, going "I DROP PLECTUAMS, ARG" and crying about how sore my hand is from having to grip the fuckers really hard.
