That's lovely - what's the neck profile like? I'd have a LP deluxe in a heartbeat. For what it's worth, much as I'm an affirmed SG fan, I can never get on with that middle pickup either.

Pete had the same guitar( 1973 Cherry Sunburst Les Paul Deluxe ).It was labeled #3
