Because Fender Japan already did it and it didn't sell that many.

i still want one, can't afford 2-3 grand for a original and i have never seen a jap version for sale

They've made TWO in Japan.
A Bass VI re-issue and the much more affordable/available Jaguar Baritone Custom/"Bottom Master"

i thought the jag baritone and bottom master were two different guitars? the one pat had wasn't a bottom master. not entirely sure of the differences, mind... i could google it but i can't be fucked.

yeah, wasn't the baritone like a baritone version of the jag HH? can't be bothered to google either.

if i could find a blank jazzmaster pg, i'd cut it for jaguar pickups for ze aenmasta.
