Can honestly say had no idea who Trohman was before this thread. Is Fall Out Boy some emo thing? I just remember Milhouse from the Simpsons.
Yes! when I first heard their name I thought it was awesome because of the simpsons reference, but then I heard some interview where they denied that it was a simpsons reference because apparently they're too cool to choose their name that way.
Fall Out Boy wasn't emo, they were just pop punk/ pop rock. They unfortunately came out around that time where everybody that doesn't know what emo music is lumped all pop punk in as emo though.

Fall Out Boy actually used to be pretty good. The first album is as good a pop album as I've ever heard, and the second had a few really standout tracks. I got bored with them after and what I've heard of them since then seems generic and bad, whereas before, at least they were generic and good.

Well, I don't expect too many people here to take kindly to that kind of music, but I always thought their music got an unfair shake just because of their annoying fans more than anything. As far as that whole wave of bands goes, Paramore and Fall Out Boy always stood out as being better than the rest.

this is the exact reason why the squier vista line died a quick death. no one bought them because they were 500 bucks
Yeah but the squier headstock wasn't indicative of a lower build quality on most of the vistas. The venus and jagmaster were top of the line fender japan shit.
