Might try a few tomorow, heading into Derby to do a few errands. Only looking to spend about £200-250 max on a bass. An affinty Jazz might even do.

TBH, I have a Musicmaster bass, with shortscale strings on it and it isn't that good for fingerstyle, not enough tension. Its ok with a pick, but a fullscale bass sounds a lot better if you are playing fingerstyle.
I think that's about standard price, but the free shipping is nice.Progrockabuse wrote:Quite tempted by the SS squire jag bass. Gal have got them at £191 free delivery. Is that a good price? And what colour should I go for? Thinking CAR to match the other red guitars I've gotten recently
Right tell the truth now, it'll cleanse your soul...Progrockabuse wrote:erm, something happened. i went to try a bass and ended up with something else.

squire VM 70's bass. plays like a fucking dream, been playing along to Herbie hannock's Headhunters this afternoon. sounds quite nice through my h&k but need to get a bass amp or at least a DI box at some point.
i'd recommend one of those behringer sansamp clones. they're pretty decent: http://www.thomann.de/gb/behringer_vton ... preamp.htmProgrockabuse wrote:sounds quite nice through my h&k but need to get a bass amp or at least a DI box at some point.

I had the blue one for guitar, mega hissss sent it back for a replacement as I assumed it was faulty as I'd read noting but good things about it second one had the exact same problem, ended up buying a joyo American sound... Pretty sure I posted on here about it.stewart wrote:really? mine's fine, used it live and at rehearsal with no problems.dezb1 wrote:I had a couple of these, noisy fuckers I sent both back.
