Maybe get it back and do a custom colour over sunburst on it yourself?

he did call and leave me a voicemail, I was pretty deep into cleaning, taking bags to the dump to really worry about calling him back immediately. There is a part of me that is starting to think, " the neck is perfectly aged. its silly to have a BRAND NEW looking body with everything else as is. so... MAYBE, I just tell him not to touch it, compensate him for his troubles/time, but not on a job well done. and give it the ole "fender custom shop relic" treatment, but so it matches the neck and looks like normal honest to goodness player wear.

Not being a sunburst fan myself, this might be the way I'd goNickD wrote: Fri Jul 31, 2026 6:32 am Maybe get it back and do a custom colour over sunburst on it yourself?

dang, what a whiff. at least it's "just" paint, and whatever you do to it will only make it better.

I honest to goodness may leave the burst as is, and do a "custom" color over top. something that could have happened sort of thing.
honestly, I have too much other bullshit going on today(week) to be bothered with it.
