*looks around* What? People are talking about me? Wow.
Yeah, I'm still around. I work on iPods at Apple now so I'm a bit busy. I also had a near-death experience about three years ago that caused me to reprioritize a few things, hence I've been spending a lot less time online. I do still collect pedals, though. Still have a few rare old birds that I'm looking for, and there's always new boutique things to occupy me.
At last count I had about 650 pedals in my collection, for those who are keeping score. Unfortunately, my laptop with my complete inventory got stolen and I haven't had time to put together another list. I have an old one but it's pretty out of date.
Very cool.DasBeef wrote:A little dated, but the most recent photo I have.....► Show Spoiler
Same here with pedals, if i see one in a Cash Converters cheap i have to buy it (if i have the money). Sold quite a few though and a lot of the time the day does come when you regret it.DasBeef wrote:I'm not really a collector. I just spend a lot of time searching for stuff, and can generally find it at a good price. If I'm happy with the price, I'll buy it, and if I like it I'll keep it. If it's not for me I'll try and trade it, or if that fails sell it on. Just a hobby that has perhaps gotten a little out of hand!

You definitely have good taste in pedalsNoisy Cat wrote:My setup:

I check CashConverters, and Cash Generator and any similar stores regularly. I get my hair cut in Stirling as an excuse to visit their CashConverters, and Barton(?) Street Music. I like to have a few reasons for a trip somewhere!Fran wrote:Same here with pedals, if i see one in a Cash Converters cheap i have to buy it (if i have the money). Thanks! Yeah I picked it up a couple of months ago when I was visiting Toronto. Got it for CAN$495 from the awesome Capsule Music.taylornutt wrote:That Super-Sonic looks intriguing with the Blue Pickguard.

MAN!! I was ogling that thing at capsule for some time. A very nice specimen of a supersonic. I have played that guitar ~~~spoookyy~~~~Noisy Cat wrote:Thanks! It already had the pearloid blue pickguard fitted by the previous owner. I wasn't sure about it at first and was considering changing it, but then realised I loved it. Since getting home I've had Dragonfire Screamers installed, with a coil split in the bridge. It sounds incredible. I probably prefer the single coil sound to the full humbucker; I'm gonna get the neck pickup split as well. It's my favourite guitar - so cool and unique.
[Mods: Apologies if this is derailing the topic]

Oh man, that is a nice set up you got there.laterallateral wrote:I found a couple vintage waterslide decals from the 50s and 60s at a thrift store. I had some serious doubts about being able to apply 50 year old decals but they sorta turned out alright.

Thanks mans! I'm really happy with the guitars and my new place, actually. After being stuck living with all my gear in a 10 x 15 foot room for a year and a half, I gotta say, it's especially nice.daftsupernova wrote:Oh man, that is a nice set up you got there.
My memory is a little fuzzy, but it was there around fall 2011 I believe, or maybe it was early 2012... Capsule is the guitar mecca in Toronto as far as I am concerned.Noisy Cat wrote:ac88 wrote:MAN!! I was ogling that thing at capsule for some time. A very nice specimen of a supersonic. Haha wow that's crazy! Thanks so much for not buying it.
I bought it at the start of April. How long had it been sitting in the store for?
