nice tim, keep meaning to get one of those buffers for my board.

not changed mine for ages, still just Green Mile>Wah>Polytune

Keep thinking of splashing out on a proper univibe type pedal.

Hey Chris. I'm not sure how different the various Qtrons are because I've not tried the small one. I got this for £40 knocked down from £50 at a hifi shop, so figured it was worth a go. It's quite a blunt instrument, as filters go, and it seems to boost and distort almost randomly. The hi-pass filter is super hissy. The snow white, on the other hand, is a really nice sounding autowah with a few useable settings and controls that make sense.

The Qtron may well be replaced on my board by this thing... if I can ever figure out how it works! The presets seem to do something different each time I select them.

thanks Tim, I find mine has similar nuances like those you describe. I like some of them but like you said its a bit of a blunt instrument. I might try a few alternatives out though. Isn't the QTron based on the mutron?

My mate Alex is recording some new NOSE demos at the moment. I tracked bass today. Here's what I used.

Tanglewood Rebel 4k Bass > Frederic Effects Harmonic Percolator > Marshall Drivemaster > Behringer Tuner > Ashdown bass amp that I've forgotten the name of and you can't read it in the picture but it sounded cool > Shure SM7 + Neumann BCM

We also had a clean DI'd track.

Finally got my Proco Rat fixed down, and just bought a Polytune Mini... and sold on the pitchblack. (not worth it, but happy enough !!)

Tried to tidy things up by reducing the patch cable lengths and boring holes for the adapters. Had to extend the board too.

Finally had some time to clear out some space in the spare room and set my gear up properly - very exciting!

Got to get a few of my hangers up on the wall to move the ones in front of the rack, but other than that is pretty much good to go!

They may have tried to but due to idiotic rules about postal access to stairwells, it often take a day or two for the Post Office to inform us that they've failed to deliver. There'll probably be a card waiting for me when I get home this evening.

I hope so. Is that a Jag (or two) I spy in your rack? What kind are they/where did you get one. I almost bought an 80s Japanese one once but didn't and have basically never seen one since.
