Pretty sure the guitarist of a local band called Nape Neck was using one of those Yamaha amps for a while, always sounded great. IIRC he's switched to a Roland Jazz Chorus more recently though.
Latest pedalboard rejig.
The velcro I was previously using just wasn't cutting it, basically every time I opened the case on tour my pedals were all over the place. I bought some extra-strong velcro, and the idea was that I would cut out the original material from the bottom of the board and completely re-cover it, but when I opened the packet (after having already had my fun with the craft knife, oops) it turned out I'd actually bought way less velcro than I thought, so I've only re-covered the spots directly under the pedals (and under my condom plectrum tin).
Unintentionally the exposed wood actually looks rather chic.
I only finished cabling it up last night, but the pedals and velcro have been sitting in-place on a shelf for the past week (I read that the heavy duty stuff needs time to set, although admittedly only like 24 hours rather than a full week — I've been busy!). I can now hold the board upside down without anything falling off, so I'd call that a success.
Also put all-new picks in the tin, and cleared out some other shite (a capo for one song I haven't needed to play for 2.5 years and won't be playing again for the foreseeable future, and an Allen key for tightening up the bridge of a guitar I haven't gigged with for 4.5 years, mainly because the bridge kept shaking itself loose haha).
