Trade for a vintage Dano DC1

A dude on craigslist offered his old dano as a trade for my 2004 69RI Mustang.
I was wondering what ya'll thought.
This is what he had to say about it:
Yeah, it plays good. you have to get used to the flat neck (almost no radius).
theres some fret wear in the open chord positions, but it doesn't buzz out anywhere.
The only minor issue is one tuner (g string) slips as it comes up to tune with it strung the right way.
The G string is wound around the post backward. A guitar mechanic could possibly
tighten it up or replace one gear. I almost replaced it ,but i wanted to keep it all stock.
Anyway it works fine the way it is. The original coffin (hard to find) case is strong and intact, however it's missing it's (tweed?) covering, someone put a cool hippie patchwork covering on the top.
that's it for issues, all the pots and parts are original, except one screw holding on the back plate."

You could get more money for the Stang on eBay. I think. Will?
I'm hazey with the value on these and it probably depends on your location, but old beat up Danos don't command typical vintage guitar prices in my experience.

First off, that's a DC-1.
The '69 Stang RI is maybe $500. That Dano would be $500-600.
HOWEVER. That original coffin case is worth $200 on its own, but PLEASE don't separate them.

Well I like how my Vista Jagmaster plays more than my RI Mustang and I also have a 1965 Mustang so this one is kind of superfluous.

Only thing different is the body. Everything else is the same. The DC-1 was slightly upper-scale.

Does the Dano still have all the tape around the body? I don't see it in the photo.

inflated ebay price is $7-800. you should be able to get at least 5 for any mustang.

Fuckin' A that's crazy.
My '69 RI was $450 like 3 years ago, and that was low-end of normal. I bought my '67 DSII for $400 for heaven's sake.

makes me a little sad that I paid 750 (including shipping) for my 65 reissue. but i don't regret it even though I had to sell my ps3. it's alright, because the cheapest you can get a mustang here is 940 at only one store that sells them.

There is one for sale near me for $150 Ad says:
"this is a vintage Danelectro guitar...someone replaced bridge with lapsteel bridge and pickup. Dano pickup is original pots and tuners....could be restored back to original bridge.. great slide guitar No Case"
