Ends adventures in guitar land...

I got to my lesson early today so I wandered around and took pics of stuff that caught me eye.

This venus doesn't know it yet, but it's going to be mine.

First 7 string I've ever attempted to play. I didn't even know where to start. Necks a beast...

Cool looking, weighs like 400 pounds.

I actually want this now, lol. The spiderwebs are super well done actually.

A vintage little fender accoustic. Parlor guitar styled. I really wanted to play this but no one could be arsed to get it out of the case for me. It's in stunning shape for it's age.

An old Gibby Tube Amp. Was cool looking and in good shape. Don't know anything else about it, it claims to be working perfectly but i didn't try it.

Get that Venus. How much do they want for it? I think I have a secret crush on the Sea Foam Venus and the Venus XII. Total Vista Series crush for that manner. Do IT!

$299. I won't pay a dime over $200 though. if it was seafoam yes, but not for black.
I figure I'll wait for them to get even more desperate, though it's taken them like 6 years to mark it this low... or buy it in conjunction with another guitar and get them to wheel and deal.

I think those old fender acoustics are the same as a harmony/stella. probably not worth $300.
edit: here's one that just sold for $51

Have you ever played it? Does it play like any other guitars? I have never seen one in person but would take a chance at a good price.

I play it practically every weak lol. I love it. Pups are underwhelming but the neck is fucking ace.

I just found out that one of my friends has a squier venus the other day. His is sunburst, it's definitely way cooler looking in person that it is in pictures!

I have a Squier 7-string like that except in blue... it's not bad for a cheap 7 string (I got it for $60 from some like 14 year old whose boyfriend bought it for her while they were dating and she just wanted to get rid of it). Love craigslist. I only use it for ridiculous alternate tunings in an MBV-fashion though.
And, this is just my opinion, but most old Gibson amps I've played sound like total shit. Maybe they all just need lots of work or restoration, but I have to assume there is a reason that they are known more for their guitars than amps.

Not to mention Gibson amps are suspiciously cheap. Even here Fin-expensive-land.
