Alright! Yet another tele to add to the collection.
I like this one, not so new, but it sounds really different than the rest of my teles. The neck is a little too modern for my taste, but it's not bad. I don't think I'll ever get used to anything but vintage style frets.
Obligatory pic, now for the video:

Sounds tasty, eh?

I have one and I kind of hate it.
The pickups are passable at best, and the neck sucked so much dick that I had to replace it.

I definitely have a really weird relationship with these pickups. They're good, but not great. The neck was SO muddy and so underpowered before I raised it and lowered the bridge pickup.
Honestly, I kind of expected more out of Duncan tele pickups. I think I'll take off the cover of the neck pickup, screw it into a new PG and see how that works.

Yeah, the neck pickup is WAY WAY quieter than the bridge in mine, and I've never been able to fix that. That's probably like 90% of my problem with it.

It kind of sucks, too, because when you lower the bridge pickup, it kind of gets muddy in an almost strange way. I'm gonna see if I can trade it on the SDUGF for something with an A5 magnet in it. That'll probably get me more of the twang I'm after.

This thread broke the deal for me. I'm gonna pick up a GFS Lil Killer for the neck and a Fatbody for the bridge and sell the old pickups.

Ah! Why a humbucker for the neck pos? If you do that, why not just sell the tele?! I'm kidding, but really? I figure the real problem is just with the set of AIIPs.
@Berto
It's birdseye maple, yes.

hahaha I'm a humbucker guy. My main guitars are all humbucker: Riviera, SGuar (though, to be fair, the Bluesbucker sounds like a P90 and the Humbucker from Hell sounds like a single coil), and the Les Miek (currently in Mezzio's expert care for renovation). I'm actually strongly debating either keeping the bridge Duncan or getting another rails pickup for the bridge.
And the neck on these is maple with a birdseye maple fretboard glued on (abalone inlays).

Just ordered a set of the Lil Killer rails pickups - both single-sized. Also got a new B/W/B pickguard (the mono black on the black finish didn't thrill me). May God forgive me for the things I am about to do to this tele.

Yeah, I hear you there. I'm definitely a single coil guy, haha. I liked the bridge pickup before I lowered it, but I can't stand that imbalance between the neck and bridge. I think they should be equal--or even a louder neck pickup. But I'm a weird/bad player, so I don't know what I'm talking about.

neck humbucker is the only way to go on teles IMO. do love the tele bridge single coil though; it's pretty much the best pickup there is.

I could only ever have a mini-humbucker in the neck of mine. Maybe a P90, but I love the lipstick plenty. Although the Hotrod 52' RI Tele came close to selling me on humbuckers in the neck position. But I think they sound fine enough when they've still got a bit of that twang in them.
Plus, I couldn't risk not having that middle position sound. That's probably the sound that got me into teles.

Great playing, can't say much about the sound of the instrument due to the low quality but everything sounded just fine. The looks... not so much. It's almost trying too hard to pull off the blackguard look but doesn't quite hit.
Again, great playing though

It looked so much worse before I sanded the pickguard. It was way too shiny before, but I still don't think I can make it work.
Probably going to put on a tortoiseshell guard on there if I can afford one sometime quick. Thanks for the compliment, though! Much appreciated even though I couldn't help screwing up.
