Fell in love with the Porl Thompson Corsair so much I had to get the sibling .. And it plays AMAZING! Used for $449 with case .
The thing plays and sounds amazingly clean . Rock solid and HEAVY . Must weigh over 10lbs . No joke . I certainly recommend it . Great great axe .

That's an INCREDIBLE price! Nice snag for sure. I like this thing, but not nearly as much as the III; I'd totally rock one if I came across a deal like that though!

Too bad Schecter only sells metal "axes" here. I could (almost) kill for a Hellcat.

The Hellcat's a niiiiiiice baritone . Especially for the money . At least they are baritones now . I'm pretty sure the older Hellcats were standard 6 strings like the ones pictured .
Baritone:
6 string :
Check this out... Just to show the massiveness of this thing . This is the Ultracure side to side with my Toronado :
And to make it funnier here it is to my Mustang :

That's got to be one of the ugliest guitars I've ever seen. Glad you like it, chum, but I'd be caught dead with a fucking burns uggcaster over that any day of the week.

No love for teh Burns chap?
I've never played a Schecter tbh but they seem value for money by all accounts. The Ultras are the only design i can say i like though.

I tried playing one of those ultras, once.
I found it to be hugely, unnecessarily big. It certainly didn't sound bad by any means but I couldn't figure out where the sacrifice in comfort of playing were going to pay off. Granted, I'm an impish creature. Perhaps this guitar makes a whole lot of sense, if you're not. If they made this guitar Telecaster-sized, it'd be pretty awesome, I guess.

The ultra could work with me, since I'm big boned (larger frame) and mustangs etc. look a bit like a ukulele when I play them. That being said I still have the Mustang Bass RI which I love.
Drunkscaling for WIN. Beware the GOAT.

Yeah, I'd love a Mustang but it looks like a toy guitar on me. In fact, a few Les Paul-style guitars look a bit like a joke when I'm playing them (and sound like one too, guffaw!). I picked up a singlecut Les Paul Italia once and Jasmine said it looked like a toy I'd accidentally grabbed on account of the size. When somebody tells you a guitar looks like a toy just because of the size and ignores the fact that it was covered from neck to butt in sparkles and pearloid, you know you're probably not going to get away with it. I'm not even that big.
I like big mis-shapen guitars. That white Hellcat, is that being brought back or is it one of the older models? I was totally onboard with Schecter when they started turning out their own strange take on the Jaguar and Mustang, it'd be great if they went back to that sometime.

schecter is still maintaining some of their semi-retro looking, but metal action guitars.
i honestly love them. not always the prettiest beasts on the planet, but infinitely playable, and awesomely priced.

They just released their 2011 models on their site . Coming back with the Tempest SH-1 with DeArmond style pickups and now have an Ultra baritone . They also did up a Solo in the Warplane markings like they did a few years back . No my bag but looks cool. They also came out with a limited Corsair Limited with P90s . I'll admit some of their stuff can be a bit outrageous but their retro stuff I really like

Oh man!!
Wish I knew they were going to make those, I'd love an Ultra VI!
Might have to try to sell the Hellcat to get an Ultra.
