Always been an Ibanez fan. The first guitar I saved up money for & bought was a Talman TC630, fucking lovely guitar.
Anyway, I'm looking for info on the 3rd and 4th generation JTK series.
All I know is that they're dead sexy and I played a JTK3 once a few years ago and loved it.

They're all 24.75" right?
Why are Ibanez douchebags who discontinue all their best guitars?
The JTK Ibanez sells these days is the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez model, and it looks sweet and all, but I kind of like having a tone knob and more than one pickup, ya feel me?
I've been checking ebay religiously to find a JTK3, but it's like they never even existed. What are some other sites besides craigslist where you can search for such things.

i think Ibanez should start a spinoff for their non-metal guitars. The traditional ibanez dude probably thinks the Talman TC630 and jet king and whatnot look pansy

The TC630 I used to have had the sweetest neck. It reminds me of the 50's reissue strat neck.
I used to slap flatwounds on it, and it had the smoothest tone. I regret selling it more than any other guitar.
Trouble with finding a used TC630 is that they're always the sunburst ones, and mine was white with red tort.
I can't downgrade from that man.
My buddy had the original JTK and I loved playing on it.
It's like impossible to find a jet-king. And most of the talmans you see for sale are those queer ass acoustics.
And I was thinking about getting a dano, but the only one i've ever played had a bulky neck, and that's not cool with me.

Dude to answer your other thread don't get a Dillion Jazzmaster. Fender makes like a gazillion affordable and more accurate Jazzmasters now with better re-sale than the Dillion, in case you don't like it.

I can't for the life of me remember what the scale was. The body shape of the first one was very cool and comfortable but where the guitar failed for me was the neck.

was it flat-ish?

As an alternative theres the NDM-1 model, Teh noodlez with gaffer tape finish. Apparently they don't touch the old Talmans though.

I would probably do the ORM1 jet king but I don't dig the mini-humbucker one volume knob idea.
It works for Omar cause he's playing through fuckin' 30 pedals and uses Orange amps.
I'm pretty minimalist. I've got a Crate V16, and a handfull of pedals that I rarely use.

I had a Jet King briefly in my possession. It had noiseless soapbar pickups, great tone, and killer looks. But dream guitar it is not. It sounds a bit ordinary and the feel always left much to be desired. In particular it was very heavy and not in the nice way that a Jag is heavy. It just felt clunky.

Same here. I could live with the NDM2 though..

The ORM-1 is 24 scale .....
The JTKs are 25.5 scale .... The later ones for certain... The P-90s are nice . Jangly .


Always liked them ... They make great jammers .. And they're pretty cheap.
