I bought this a few weeks before Christmas but I didn't finish cleaning it up 'til now. It's a 1975 Electra Super Rock. Matsumoku I believe.
I'd been wanting a Les Paul for quite a while but I wasn't willing (or able) to go in the hole for the kind of money that Gibson wants for one.
So,I'd been looking at copies. Edwards, Greco, Tokai, etc... but, they were still just out of my price range. Then I ran across this one on ebay and I remembered a friend having one back in high school and it being pretty nice.
This one was all original except for a missing pickguard. I replaced the bridge when it arrived because two of the plastic saddles were busted during shipping. I would have probably replaced them anyway so it wasn't a big deal. It plays like a dream and definitely has that Les Paul sound. It sounds great on old Aerosmith, Kiss, Alice Cooper type stuff.

Here's a picture from the ebay auction. Over 30 years of grime still on it.

Don't know if it's just the lighting or flash or what, but that guitar looks like a million bucks in your photo, and maybe like $200 in the auction photo.

Thanks! It was really dirty when I got it. It literally had 30+ years of grime on it.

Very nice guitar Pat. It looks like an Ibanez "Tree Of Life" LP with the fancy neck inlays.
