Awesome find at my local pawnshop. Affinity Squier Telecaster. It has been used for certain, but has a great vibe to it. I really like the white on white look. Pickups sound pretty ok. Bridge is jangley. Neck is kind of meh. The previous owner (I am guessing) felt the need to add a Gibson style jack plate. Works fine. Tuners are ok. Pretty happy with it considering it was only $39.00.

It looks great. Has that relic'd look. How does the neck feel? $39.00 is a great find. Love the white on white. Looks like Alpine white.

Neck feels good. More like my Japanese ones than Mexican ones. Thin would be the word I think most people call them, but they fit my palm well. Frets aren't bad. Could use a little cleanup at the edges, but really not bad.

The fret ends are normally an issue on these but overall they are great little guitars and REALLY cheap. I had an old greeny blue one I gor used in a guitar shop for £50 and it was awesome. Much better necks than on the maple Mexican standards of the time.

I used to have a black Affinity Tele - loved it - something I could throw around and abuse without any guilt whatsoever. I put vintage output Duncan pups in mine.

Loved the thinner body as well.

Nice skinny necks too.

I loved my blue affin tele. I still have the body somewhere but I gave aen the neck.loved the neck n mine, I think the prior owner to mine sanded off all the finish n the neck, hada cool vintage sequence feel to it.

39 bucks? WOW! Fantastic. I would have bought it for that price just to experiment with it..Smokin deal!

The strings were old and junky so I couldn't intonate it. I took it off and will put new ones on today. I was able to clean it a bit more with the strings off. The ones on it were so junky that I couldn't get them to intonate anyways. LOL They had turned black.

I was thinking the same thing. With the price so low and nothing structural seeming to be amiss, I thought it was a easy deal. Anything past the structure would be easy enough to fix. I have picked up pickups more expensive than this guitar. I might try to get new tuners. (These are a bit tight and a bit loose depending on the tuner.) I also might try to find a compatable three saddle bridge for it.

Got replacement tuners for $10 on the way. Same stuff it had, but new, so hopefully they will work out ok. I also ordered straplocks. The bridge replacement seems more intensive, so I will see how it works with new strings. If that is fine, I will leave it alone.

Straplocks... for a $40 guitar?

Grolsch straplocks seem more in the vibe..

I put them on everything. LOL Just because it was cheap doesn't mean I want it to fall on the ground when playing. Plus all my straps have straplocks...

I thought Affinity Teles just have Gibson style jack plates stock? Looks really nice man, good find

I heard that from somebody. Interesting if that is stock. Works totally fine so I am cool with it. Hope the tuners arrive soon. I want to get strings back on.

That plate is stock. Stock affinities have had gibson style plates, as well as square metal ones with a recess around the jack (like you can get on GFS), and football plates too (the elongated ovally ones) at different times over the years. That one is probably stock but even if it isn't, it's similar enough and way less fiddly to install/service than the proper vintage tele cup jacks.

Love the all white w/rosewood look, reminds me of "The Colonel", my perennially-loved and tri-contenental project plank. I hope mine gets as beat up as yours one day, I always carry it around without a case in the hopes that accidents will happen.

im suprised you went for the same junky tuners. gfs makes a locking esque tuner for like 26 bucks a set! i love em!

Everything I read seemed to say that these tuners didn't really have anything that had an upgraded swap that used the holes there. All the stuff that seemed like it would work would need drilling and stuff. I figure I would try a new set of the junky stuff. It if works, than cool. If not, I am only out ten bucks and can try something else. At least I am sure these will work.

it looks great but FFS man you already have a lot of great guitars i cant imagine ever picking that up instead of one of your nicer ones
