that upper horn really stops me from liking it..... the ice blue is such a nice fuck!
and the pups have me intrigued, but godamn the strat trem and upper horn

If they had the blue one available, I'd have pulled out the amex.

It does nothing for me personally... and I have no idea what a triplebucker is, or what function it serves. However, I just thought I'd pass it along. As far as the new Pawn Shop guitars I do really like the look of the Super Sonic and Jaguarillo... both very cool IMO, and dehydrated myself from drooling when I saw them both for the first time but I've recovered thankfully. I just keep telling myself NO MORE GUITARS!!!

Admittedly, the price is incredible. But really, Fender must be selling none of these. The body shape is pitiful, the triple-bucker confusing, and the name misleading.

The RI Super-Sonic, however, is a really smart guitar.

I enjoy my MP Marauder. I like the triplebucker - it's only a single coil and humbucker in the same pickup and the switching is as for a middle single coil and bridge humbucker. I'm used to a Strat trem; maybe there are better but I get along with it. I like the neck. The metalwork is a bit below par for a Fender.

I've seen and played these in both black and blue... And in person, the blue is gorgeous, Strat term and upper horn They play pretty nicely too, and the triple bicker, which I thought was gonna be a garbage gimmick, actually sounds pretty decent! If I were in the States and the blue we're available, it'd be a no-brainer.

Seems to me that the top or left (depending which way round you're looking) is to fat. If you slim down the top it doesn't look so bad?

For me it's the mismatched pickups... it's always just driven me crazy. For some reason they don't get my goat on a telecaster but on something like this it just looks strange. Why not two of those triplebuckers? I agree though, it does look a little plump where your arm would rest.... all in all, this one seems a little confused though generally I have enjoyed the pawn shop series styling.

There is something somewhat awkward looking about them but I still quite like the way they look, especially in LPB. Not played one but they sound really good in a couple of the demos on YouTube:

Fender's biggest mistake (see also: PS Mustang Special) was calling it a "Marauder".

I agree. It doesn't say what it is on the headstock, so you could make up your own name. What should they have called it?

Just for interest, it comes from the shop with 3 springs and the trem flat on the deck.

I didn't like these to begin with and the looks are definitely an acquired taste, but as far as playability and sounds go they are great. They offer more than most Fender models and the original price was a bargain to begin with.
I'd buy one if i was in the market for a new Fender.

It's the jazzmastery pickguard that makes them look weird. It makes you want the top horn to be JM or Jaguar shaped whereas a different guard would've made the body shape look newer and more balanced.

It's now a microphone...

I played one once and it handled pretty well. I liked the Triple Bucker, but there was not enough difference in the positions to make it worth it.
